The Instructions:

- Place the tamales inside a steamer with the open end facing up. Arrange them so they don't fall over or crowd the steamer.
- Cover the tamales with a layer of extra corn husks and steam on medium-high heat for about 1.5 to 2 hours until the dough becomes firm and separates easily from the husk.
- Remove from the heat and let them cool for a few minutes before serving with your favorite toppings like salsa or guacamole.
