Homemade Lb Agar Plates

Ingredients:
- 10 grams of tryptone
- 10 grams of NaCl
- 5 grams of yeast extract
- 15 grams of agar
- 500 ml of distilled water
Instructions:
- Mix tryptone, NaCl, yeast extract, agar into distilled water
- Bring the mixture to a boil to completely dissolve the agar
- Allow the mixture to cool down to 50°C then pour into sterile petri dish
- Let the plates dry out in a sterile environment
- The plates are ready to use as soon as they have cooled and solidified
